DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\nAsia Pacific Youth Internet Governance Forum (y
 IGF.Asia) is an annual meeting and open platform\, recognized by the United
  Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF)\, to empower young leaders aged be
 tween 18 and 35 to participate in Internet governance discussions. The foru
 m was first initiated by NetMission.Asia in 2010 and continues to be held a
 nnually in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance F
 orum (APrIGF).\n\n\n\nThis year\, yIGF.Asia 2026 will take place as a two-d
 ay hybrid event from Oct 3 to Oct 4\, 2026. Bringing together young leaders
 \, policymakers\, technical experts\, civil society representatives\, and o
 ther Internet governance stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region\,
  the forum will provide a platform for dialogue\, learning\, and collaborat
 ion on the future of the digital ecosystem.\n\n\n\nEvent Format\n\n\n\nApar
 t from joining physically at the main venue in Kathmandu (venue details to 
 be confirmed)\, or online from the comfort of your home or office\, local h
 ub organisers will host physical meetings and facilitate remote participati
 on in yIGF. \n\n\n\nThe audience can watch the webcast of the session(s) an
 d interact with speakers and facilitators at main venue (via text\, audio\,
  or video). In addition\, local hub participants are encouraged to discuss 
 face-to-face in the room from their local perspectives as they join the yIG

 gital Futures\,” yIGF 2026 highlights the evolving role of youth in shapi
 ng the Internet and digital governance processes. As digital technologies c
 ontinue to transform societies and economies\, young people are increasingl
 y impacted by decisions related to digital rights\, online safety\, artific
 ial intelligence\, and digital inclusion\, yet their voices remain underrep
 resented in many decision-making spaces.\n\n\n\nAligned with regional discu
 ssions on strengthening Internet resilience\, yIGF 2026 will provide a plat
 form for youth to explore how resilience\, inclusion\, and human rights can
  be advanced in an evolving digital landscape. Through capacity-building se
 ssions\, intergenerational dialogue\, and collaborative discussions\, parti
 cipants will engage with issues surrounding AI governance\, information int
 egrity\, meaningful connectivity\, digital inclusion\, online safety and cr
 isis preparedness\, while exploring how diverse voices can contribute to mo
 re inclusive and accountable digital governance.\n\n\n\nAt yIGF 2026\, we r
 ecognize youth not only as users of the Internet\, but as stakeholders in i
