Asia Pacific Youth IGF 2026 Kathmandu
Overview
Asia Pacific Youth Internet Governance Forum (yIGF.Asia) is an annual meeting and open platform, recognized by the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF), to empower young leaders aged between 18 and 35 to participate in Internet governance discussions. The forum was first initiated by NetMission.Asia in 2010 and continues to be held annually in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF).
This year, yIGF.Asia 2026 will take place as a two-day hybrid event from Oct 3 to Oct 4, 2026. Bringing together young leaders, policymakers, technical experts, civil society representatives, and other Internet governance stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region, the forum will provide a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration on the future of the digital ecosystem.
Event Format
Apart from joining physically at the main venue in Kathmandu (Royal Tulip, Kathmandu, Nepal), or online from the comfort of your home or office, local hub organisers will host physical meetings and facilitate remote participation in yIGF.
The audience can watch the webcast of the session(s) and interact with speakers and facilitators at main venue (via text, audio, or video). In addition, local hub participants are encouraged to discuss face-to-face in the room from their local perspectives as they join the yIGF session(s) remotely.
