Internet governance works best when everyone has a voice. In this session, you’ll get to meet experts from government, civil society, technical community, academia, and more. It’s a chance to see how different stakeholders tackle issues and make decisions in the policy-making process.

Co-Creating Safe Digital Future Through Intergenerational Action
Building on the Asia Pacific yIGF Three-Year Blueprint set at our 2024 meeting, this session brings together youth leaders and yIGF representatives from across Asia-Pacific. Participants will review achievements to date, identify shared priorities, and co-create strategies for the next phase of youth engagement in Internet governance. The session aims to sustain momentum, strengthen regional collaboration, and ensure youth voices remain central to shaping the digital future.

APAC Youth WSIS+20 Statement: Live Discussion & Editing*
Participants will take part in a Live Discussion & Editing session to shape the APAC Youth WSIS+20 Youth Statement. This collective statement lays the groundwork for youth-led initiatives across our region to influence the WSIS+20 review process. The statement will be included in our event report, submitted to and published on the official UN Internet Governance Forum site, and serve as a reference for yIGF attendees contributing to the APrIGF Synthesis Document.

Age Verification and Social Media Regulation
This interactive roundtable brings youth and senior experts together to explore global regulatory trends, from strict compliance models to rights-based safeguards on online safety; and explore intergenerational collaboration in safeguarding information integrity on social media, tackling age verification, regulation, and regional perspectives on mis- and disinformation.

Power, Platforms, and Participation: Reclaiming Our Digital Selves
This panel discussion aims to examine the evolving challenges to youth digital autonomy in the Asia-Pacific, shaped by government regulation, corporate consolidation, and opaque technologies. It seeks to empower young people to critically engage with questions of rights, access, and accountability while reimagining inclusive digital futures. Additionally, it will highlight the role of youth voices in shaping policy frameworks that safeguard freedom, foster innovation, and ensure meaningful participation in the global digital ecosystem.
