Youth Internet Governance Forum (YIGF) 2014 Delhi in parallel with the APrIGF is a 4-day-3 nights camp, organised by NetMission Ambassadors, with the participation of around 60 universities students from India this year, which participants are assigned a role as one of the interest group such as government, private sectors and NGOs during the camp. The aim of this simulation session is inspired by the multi-stakeholders’ approach of IGF, to let the youth to put themselves into other people’s shoes and encourage them to think from different perspective. An open platform will be provided for young generation to express and interchange their ideas and own thoughts on Internet governance freely. It also serves as a preparation camp for youth to understand various Internet issues and open their door to the international policy discussion.

This year, besides the multi-stakeholder discussion, a new session was be introduced, which is the brainstorming session on Innovative ideas driving social change in use of Information Communication Technology (ICT). In the age of information technology, various social problems like low literacy rate, poverty in community, can be tackled by making good use of ICT for example e-learning, e-commerce and e-banking. Youth IGF participants are encouraged to provide and share inspiring ideas and initiatives and try bringing these ideas to execution after the camp.
